writing the first identity post about The Birdman was a lot of fun, researching and thinking about the identity and the meaning for the collection.
So today I had a closer look at another identity that I really like:
The Stranger.
This identity is available in two different traits:
Stranger (54 in the whole collection and the most common identity)
Stranger Green (30 in the whole collection)
As the time of writing there are 4 Stranger identities for sale on Opensea and 2 more on our own marketplace. Some really good steals there if you‘d ask me.
So, let’s dive a little deeper into the Stranger identity, shall we?
How does the Stranger Identity looks like?
The difference between the two traits are the colors of the eyes and the laces of the hoodie. It’s either white (Stranger) or green (Stranger Green). The Stranger is faceless, you only see their eyes shining in the night and they are wearing a hoodie and look very casual.
Of course you could see this identity in a lot of different ways, I want to go through two different versions and encourage you to put in the comments what your thoughts are on the them.
Version #1: Stranger as a Person
The Stranger Identity as a person could be a friend who is there for you when you need them, who helps you when you are down or supports you in bad times.
The enlightened eyes should help you find the way in dark times, when it is tough for you to find the right track or feeling lost.
But why do I see a „Stranger“ as a friend?
Friends are always strangers in the beginning, right? But on the journey of becoming friends they act what you expect friends to be like.
I believe that strangers can act and help you sometimes like friends would do. It could be a kind gesture like holding the door open for you, helping you carrying something to your car or stepping up for you when you aren’t able to.
So the Stranger symbolizes ALL those amazing and kind people who help you although you do not know them and they do not know you. They are always there, in the background and have your back.
Little side thought: Maybe the Stranger identity stands for a Guardian Angel?
Version #2: Stranger as a feeling
Besides that person version I had a look at definitions of the word „stranger“ and found one that caught my attention:
a person entirely unaccustomed to a feeling, experience, or situation.
So when we think of the identity as a feeling the Stranger could symbolize feelings or situations someone is not used to. It is part of life to face new situations and feelings but it could be mentally hard to deal with them sometimes. That is what the Stranger could remind us of: Those unknown situations and feelings and that we have to deal with them but: Never alone!
Besides that I believe the Stranger could also symbolize a situation where you are „feeling like a Stranger“ in normal and daily life situations, feeling different to others. But that is nothing bad at all, it is important to be who you are and to be proud of that.
And to be honest: We are all a bit strange right? ;)
So: this identity could also remind us of being openminded and welcoming to people you don‘t know because you never know what your opposite is dealing with.
And this is why I love Strange Connections. The community is a family that welcomes everyone.
So, those are my thoughts on it, what are yours?
Would love to hear it.
Much love
Beanz

Dude I absolutely loved this one, super in depth and informative. The Stranger can represent so many things to so many people but I love the first point you made where the Stranger is a friend. I feel this works well because the Stranger can represent one or many friends. For me I feel everyone that I have met through my web3 journey is this Stranger because at one point they were strangers and are now transformed into friends, business' partners and family. Great post brother and amazing read!
