Hey Strange Fam,

I've got a new trait lore to talk about today, something I hope you enjoy!

First a quick disclosure, as of this writing this is just considered fan made lore. It is in no way associated with what would be considered "canon" within the "StrangeVerse" if you will. My writing is simply for fun and here for your enjoyment, now without further delay!

Mighty frog VS Giant flying fire breathing lizard!, Amphibian VS Reptile! 

PEPE VS DRAGON!

For centuries these two trait groups waged endless war upon each other until one fateful day a group of weary Stranges happened upon a small skirmish on the outskirts of each trait groups land. You see these Stranges were with an expeditionary force set out to collect traits for their up and coming collection Strange Connections and they were seeking out some incredibly rare traits. The stranges knew these traits would make great additions to their collection but with both groups at each others throats they knew neither would join Strange Connections without first resolving their differences. 

You see the Pepe's and the Dragons both wanted the same thing to be immortalized on the fabled ETH blockchain. Many previous collections had tried to assist one side or the other but always ended their quest in failure, but the Stranges were different. They knew this feud would only end in the destruction of both groups and so the head Strange (Grandpa Shagrath) devised a plan. 

You see old man Shag, as his peers called him knew a thing or two about the blockchain and knew both trait groups could coexist together but he needed to show them how this could be possible. So he asked the heads of each trait group to meet with him at a neutral site (The Discord Inn) that was in the middle of each groups territory. There Shag told each groups leaders of Strange Connections and it's purpose and goals. The three wise leaders talked for what seemed like ages but finally Grandpa Shagrath was able to get both leaders to agree upon peace, become represented within the Strange Connections collection and forever be immortalized on the ETH blockchain! The cities and towns of each trait group rejoiced and have ever since been peaceful with one another.

Today we see both traits represented within the collection under two different trait sections. Pepe's under Clothing and second rarest trait in that trait section and Dragons under the identity traits as a standard dragon and mythic dragon. Even though these two waring groups were at the edge of annihilation they finally saw that both could coexist and become part of Strange Connections!

GM GM Everyone and welcome to another trait lore article! Today we are covering hats and to be more specific the Cap Red White or what I prefer to call the "Ketchum" 

Stats:

12th rarest in the collection with only 88 (0.88%) tokens sporting it.

As of this writing only 1 token is listed out of all 88 and it's at a solid price 0.021 ETH

Lore: It is believed in many circles that a great and powerful master of pocket sized beings or monsters if you will wore this legendary cap. He was a traveler of many regions and where ever he went he had his little yellow companion with him on his journeys. 

They traveled across the land, searching far and wide, each companion to understand the power that's inside.

One day the master and his yellow companion happened upon a strange who had been down on his luck, feeling that he could not help his fellow stranges or was a burden to them. The master tapped the strange on their shoulder and as the strange looked up they saw the master standing above them with an out stretched hand. 

The master spoke to the strange and said "It's you and me, I know it's our destiny. I'll be your best friend, in this world we must defend! Our hearts so true, our courage will pull us through. You teach me and I'll teach you" 

The strange took the masters hand and the master began to pull the strange to their feet. As the strange rose to their feet they felt an overwhelming warm feeling that welled up inside of them and a bright light soon engulfed the strange.

The master let go of the strange's hand to shield his eyes from the bright light and when the bright light faded the master saw the strange standing proud and tall no longer feeling he was useless to his fellow brethren. The master noticed one more thing atop the stranges head! It was a cap much like his own but without his green symbol on the front of it but it was the same red and white cap he also wore.

The strange looked back and the master with a confident grin on their masked face and said "I'm ready!" The master smiled back at the strange and responded "Let's go my friend! You're no longer alone you have me and my companion and together we can face anything!"

GM everyone! So I wanted to do a mini showcase on one of my favorite traits from the Strange Connections Collection.

This is the third rarest eye trait in the collection although I feel it should be the rarest considering where it comes from and the lore behind it.

Trait: Strangest Eyes

Why is this one my favorite? well it's one of the three great Dojutsu from the anime Naruto. A few of the characters in the show wield it but I am not going into detail on the show. Do absolutely take some time to watch that anime as I highly recommend it but again I am here to talk about it as a trait within Strange Connections.

Per Narutopedia the Rinnegan's lore is this, "It is said that in times of disorder, one who wields the Rinnegan is sent down from the heavens to become either a "God of Creation" who will calm the world or a "God of Destruction" who will reduce everything to nothingness."

Lets break down the above quote, so Strangest Eyes or the Rinnegan have the ability to create or destroy. I am going to lean more on the creation side and how it relates to the collection and the NFT space. Web3 is full of get rich quick projects (aka rugs) and other such activities that tend to drive new users away from the space. This makes it hard for those in the space to on board new members, well SC, the project as a whole is one of the few projects wanting to change that. 

I think this trait relates very very well to SC's goals and vision of creating a safe space for everyone and bring attention to mental health awareness not only via it's diehard members/holders but to the rest of the web3 community and beyond. Creating is something we all do whether it's creating new relationships or creating a platform for those relationships to grow. 

Creating is key and I think we all have a little bit of the Rinnegan inside us. How we choose to wield it defines our place in web3. 

Beanz I loved this article! Glad to put some knowledge behind the Birdman trait and what he symbolizes within the SC collection. When I was reading this I started to see where he comes in to play with mental health awareness. In my eyes he could be seen as our guide through our therapy sessions or mediation times through out our day. This was some great insight into this trait!
