Mental Wellness Session Recap: 7/10/2023
Last night, We had another mental wellness session lead by Sara. The focus of this session was an intro to meditation and the benefits of practicing!

- Insight Timer
Tips and Tricks:
- Set intention to meditate
- Set time aside and prep for your meditation
- Eat something/Go to bathroom ( donāt want to get interrupted by a empty stomach, or needing to go to the bathroom)
- Comfy close
- āSafeā environment
- Headphones (noise canceling preferred)
- Good posture ( if your new to meditation, try sitting up so you donāt fall asleep)
Breathing Techniques (before, after, during meditation)
- Be intentional with your breathing
- Box Breathing
- Picture squareĀ
- Inhale for 5, hold for 5, exhale for 5, hold for 5Ā
- repeat 5 + timesĀ
- 4,7,8 Breathing Technique
- inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, exhale for 8 seconds
